The phrase Almost a Walrus was born in a moment of silliness at Bible school. Now, it’s a little reminder that you and I can have joy and have fun whether life makes it easy or not.
My goal for Almost A Walrus is to write articles that help you all live that out, too. So we’ll learn together about the Bible, journaling, and walking with God to help us live intentional lives.
My love for writing began before I could write the alphabet. My love for God began to bloom when God miraculously declared his love for me during the darkest time in my life. Joy in hard times and living intentionally are lessons I’ve learned on narrow roads with God as my guide. I pray that my experiences in life and Bible school will translate well to encourage you here at Almost A Walrus.

These are a few of my favorite things…
- Mountains, forests, and rivers. Some of my fondest memories took place in the wilderness. It seems easier to be still with God, there.
- Quiet days with books and my journal. Rain is a good excuse to stay home any day. Or to stay cozy in a tent 🙂
- Princess Beebo, my pupper. She is 14 years old. We share fondness for water and sleep.
- My husband, Drewseph.* He’s the funniest person I know. I am blessed to walk with such an honorable, faithful, transformed man.
